Remembering the Pool Days

As the AWLA pup pool is getting ready to close for the summer and we’re already looking forward to colored trees and sweater weather, a few of our adoptable pups wanted to share their favorite moments of summer as captured by the amazing volunteers of the AWLA. These summer memories and summer smiles are thanks to our team of volunteers who spent every day with our pups on walks, keeping the pool fresh and cool and relaxing in the shade when it was just too darn hot for a walk.

Remembering the Pool Days

Cambridge was a regular visitor at the AWLA pool and loved nothing more than a refreshing dip after a play session with her fellow pups.

A frequent face of summer, Cambridge always has a smile for her friends.

Duuuuuh duh… duuuuuh duh…. duh duh duh duh… it’s Maxx! No need to cue the Jaws theme because he’s just being his usual silly self and pretending to be a shark at the ALWA pool.

And when he’s above water, Maxx’s smile can’t be beat!

Rico pausing between splashes in the pool to smile for his fans.

Ponds are not pools, but Rico still loved relaxing next to them during a foster sleepover.

Photos thanks to volunteers Janet, Jennifer and Dave.
