Pawsitive Action Club (PAC) is designed to familiarize Middle School (grades 6-8) students with all the AWLA has to offer and instill animal compassion and advocacy in their everyday lives.
Meetings will be held from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. (unless specified) on the dates below. Additional dates and topics will be scheduled throughout the year.

Friday, April 25 | Enrichment Essentials | Learn about our enrichment program for our shelter animals and create enrichment items to pass out to our animals. |
Friday, May 23 | Animal Control & Safety | Learn about the role Animal Services plays in protecting our community’s wildlife, companion animals, and citizens. |
Friday, June 6 | Intro to Veterinary Medicine | Learn about the medical care provided to our in-shelter and community animals from our shelter veterinary medicine team. |
There is a club membership fee of $10 per meeting for each student. Students can attend all of the meetings or choose to register to attend club meetings about specific animal welfare topics that interest them most. A limited number of scholarships are available for families who demonstrate financial need. You may apply for a scholarship HERE.
