Pawsitive Action Club
Pawsitive Action Club (PAC) is designed to familiarize Middle School (grades 6-8) students with all the AWLA has to offer and instill animal compassion and advocacy in their everyday lives.
PAC Meeting Dates and Topics:
Meetings will be held from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. (unless specified) on the dates below. Additional dates and topics will be scheduled throughout the year.

| Friday, March 21 (5 – 6 p.m.) | Welcome to the AWLA | Tour the facility, learn about our operations, and meet adoptable animals. |
| Friday, April 25 | Clicker Training | Learn about our how Behavior and Training team use clicker training as part of our positive reinforcement training approach. |
| Friday, May 23 | Fostering Animals | Learn about the important role fosters play in the wellbeing of our shelter animals. |
| Friday, June 6 | Creating Enrichment | Learn about our enrichment program for our shelter animals and create enrichment items to pass out to our animals. |
There is a club membership fee of $10 per meeting for each student. Students can attend all of the meetings or choose to register to attend club meetings about specific animal welfare topics that interest them most. A limited number of scholarships are available for families who demonstrate financial need. You may apply for a scholarship HERE.
Requirements:
- Student is currently enrolled in Middle School (grades 6th-8th)
- Student must have permission from their parent/guardian
