Alexandria Love Your Pet Day Announces Schedule of Family-Friendly Entertainment
Festival will include musical acts, demonstrations and even a beer garden
ALEXANDRIA, Va. (September 8, 2021) — The Alexandria Love Your Pet Day Festival will return on Sunday, Oct. 3, to the brand new location of Oronoco Bay Park at 100 Madison Street. This year’s event will be packed with entertainment for the whole family, including main-stage acts, a demonstration area and food and drink options.
Main-stage acts will include the popular bilingual children’s performers Uno Dos Tres Andrés and the Rainbow Rock Band, along with magic from illusionist Chris Michael. Michael will also perform close-up magic throughout the day at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria’s (AWLA’s) Family Fun tent. The full mainstage schedule for the can be found below:

Interspersed between these acts will be brief “Doggie Dates” and “Meow Meet-Ups” with adorable, adoptable animals from the AWLA and Tails High.
The AWLA’s Family Fun area will offer a variety of activities throughout the day, including animal-themed crafts and educational games. Attendees will have the opportunity to make personalized dog bandanas, interactive cat mobiles, custom pet charm necklaces and treats and toys for animals at the AWLA, as well as fun animal training games and more!
The Festival will also offer food and drink options, including a beer garden hosted by Port City Brewing Company , coffee from Rick’s Roasters and the Rocklands Barbeque food truck.
Proceeds from the Alexandria Love Your Pet Day Festival benefit the AWLA, which supports homeless animals in Alexandria as well as pets and people throughout the community.
