Festive pups, St. Paddy’s Day Spirit, galactic Chihuahuas and more!  On March 2, the AWLA’s annual Fun Dog Show was leaps and bounds of fun, and that excitement continued through the Ballyshaners‘ St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Pups and their people filled Old Town’s Market Square to compete in the show or root and woof for contestants on stage.  Creativity was not restricted by size, as Duke the Rocket Dog, winner of Most Creative Costume, showed us with his astronaut outfit complete with a cozy rocket ship for the early spring day.  Most St. Paddy’s Day Spirit winner Winslow navigated a crowded field with grace, pulling a cart full of spirit on stage with the help of his handler.  And however much you may resemble your pet, a little face paint can help complete the look, as Best Human/Canine Look-Alike winners Emily and pup Lucy showed the crowd!
