The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria congratulates Daniel, the winner of the Kids Promote Adoption Through Art contest!

Daniel’s winning painting, “Go On Adventures with Star,” was created at First Night Alexandria‘s New Year’s Eve event at the Torpedo Factory with Upcycle Creative Reuse Center. The painting depicts Star, one of the dogs rescued from a South Korean meat farm. Star is currently in foster care, but the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria will use Daniel’s painting to help find Star a home when she becomes available for adoption.

In addition to seeing his artwork used to get Star adopted, Daniel will also receive a party at the shelter and a $50 gift certificate from Upcycle.
