Adopt the Shelter
When you Adopt the Shelter, you provide for the animals at the AWLA as they receive care and wait for a loving family. In exchange for your generous gift, we’ll share your adoption by adding your name to the shelter!
For an annual gift of
- $250, you will adopt our Book Buddies Zone, including the books and bookshelf, providing kids with books to read to cats at our shelter.
- $300, you will adopt a Cat Condo in our cat adoptions room.
- $500, you will adopt a Dog Dorm in our dog kennel area.
- $750, you will adopt the Visiting Room.
- $1,000, you will adopt the Volunteer Lounge.
When you Adopt the Shelter, we will send you a picture of your adoption area, a certificate of adoption and a quarterly report about how your adoption space is being used to advance the mission of the AWLA.

Adopt It Forward
Not everyone can adopt. But you can Adopt It Forward. Waived adoption fees help to shorten the length of time an animal spends in a shelter environment, especially for older animals, animals with special medical needs, and animals that have been in a shelter for a longer period of time.
