Join the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA) for a “Howl-O-Ween” event, hosted by Kimpton Hotel Monaco and Jackson 20 Restaurant. The popular dog costume contest that has become an Old Town tradition features more than 50 canine contestants modelling costumes in the outdoor courtyard. Alexandria’s Walk for Animals – May 1st
Put on your walking shoes and enjoy Alexandria’s Walk for the Animals! Come celebrate animals in our community and raise funds for the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria to care for animals in need. The Walk, which begins in Old Town Alexandria’s Market Square, will be hosted by Dr. Katy Nelson of The Pet Show with Dr. Katy. We’ll have plenty of fun activities for kids, including a “search for lost animals” along the 1.0 mile-long course (click here for route map). We’ll have goodies for every registrant (human and animal) as well as pet-friendly and kid-friendly vendors to explore.
