Pawsitive Action Club: Responsible Pet Ownership – Pet Care and Costs

Pawsitive Action Club! A club for students currently enrolled in Middle School, designed to allow students to become familiar with the shelter and instill animal compassion and advocacy in their everyday lives. PAC members who attend at least 4 meetings will also be eligible to apply to be summer camp counselors in 2021 (pending safety restrictions regarding COVID-19)!

PAC Meeting Dates and Topics:

Meetings will be held at 5:30 pm to 7 pm on the dates below using Zoom and Google Classroom. Additional dates and topics will be scheduled throughout the year.

• October 16th – Responsible Pet Ownership: Pet Care and Costs
• November 13th – Veterinary Medicine: Meet our Staff Vet!
• December 4th – Community Programs: How We Help People and Pets in Alexandria
• January 15th – Behavior and Training: All About Clicker Training

There is a club membership fee of $5 per meeting for each student. Students can attend all of the meetings or choose to register to attend club meetings about specific animal welfare topics that interest them most.

Requirements:

• Student is currently enrolled in Middle School
• Student must have permission from their parent/guardian
