The AWLA Community Pet Pantry was created in 2019 in response to essential workers’ growing need for support from the effects of COVID-19. Today, recognizing the rising cost of living in Northern Virginia, the Community Pet Pantry has expanded to help all pet families in our community make ends meet when their funds run low.
Thanks to in-kind donations and a generous donation from the Earl-Ramirez family, we’re able to supply families with the food and supplies they need to keep their beloved animals happy and healthy and at home.
Whether you’re looking to donate food or supplies or purchase new items, check out our wish lists for a guide on what we can use and what we (unfortunately) can’t use.
We’re here to help! Contact us at Community@AlexandriaAnimals.org or 703-746-4774.
If you are age 60 or older, the AWLA is proud to offer AniMeals, a partnership with Senior Services of Alexandria, created to provide a free monthly pet food delivery for eligible seniors. To register for AniMeals, please contact Senior Services of Alexandria at 703-836-4414 ext. 113 or visit their website.
