Pawsitive Action Club (PAC) is designed to familiarize Middle School (grades 6-8) students with all the AWLA has to offer and instill animal compassion and advocacy in their everyday lives.
Meetings will be held from 4 – 5:00 p.m. on the dates below. Additional dates and topics will be scheduled throughout the year.

Friday, February 16 | Welcome to the AWLA | Tour the facility, learn about our operations, and meet adoptable animals. |
Tuesday, March 12 | Advocating for Baby Wildlife | Learn about Alexandria’s wildlife and how we can help them as a community. |
Friday, April 19 | Clicker Training | Learn about clicker training and how we use positive reinforcement with our shelter animals. Students will be able to participate in clicker training sessions with adoptable animals. |
Friday, May 24 | Enrichment Essentials | Learn about our enrichment program for our shelter animals and create enrichment items to pass out to our animals. |
There is a club membership fee of $10 per meeting for each student. Students can attend all of the meetings or choose to register to attend club meetings about specific animal welfare topics that interest them most.
