The AWLA’s Animal Services officers assist sick and injured animals within the City of Alexandria. From foxes stuck in fences to ducks in a storm drain, officers respond to calls about domestic pets and wildlife, but if you see an animal in need of assistance, please DO NOT approach it. Our trained officers know how to handle animals in distress to prevent injury to the animal and to themselves.
